One Hour Swim Completed
Congratulations to four Alexandria Masters members who completed the one hour swim on Saturday January 21. The objective was to continuously swim as far as possible in a one hour. Chris Derks, Katie Gilmore, Kyra Wiens, and Ray Novitske.
New Team Records Set By New Swimmers
Two new new swimmers set records at December's Last Chance Meet in Washington, DC. Tim Taylor set new records in the 50 and 100 backstroke. Chris Hoffman, who swam all butterfly events, set a new record in the 200 butterfly. Congratulations.

Sprint Classic Meet Results
Three swimmers from Alexandria Masters signed up for the Sprint Classic meet at George Mason University on October 30. Tim Taylor swam in his first masters competition, entering and swimming in five events. Mike Davey entereing four events swam to two first places. Dan Jent set a new team record in the 100 backstroke, shaving off his previous record. Congratulations.

 2012 US Masters Rule Book Cover
A design by Alexandria Masters member Ray Novitske was selected for the cover of the 2012 USMS Rule Book by the 250 delegates at the annual US Masters Swimming convention held in September. The Rule Book cover received top votes from the eight designs submitted for consideration.
Our Newest National Top Ten
Congratulations to Katie Gilmore who swam the 10th best USMS time in the nation for the 400 IM last year in our own Tropical Splash short course yards meet.
Summer Meet Results
Mike Davey set three new team records during the Maryland Long Course Summer meet in August. New marks were set in the 100 Breast and the 50 & 200 backstroke.
Results
In the annual summer Terrapin Cup long course meet at the University of Maryland, Mark Harris broke his own team records in the 50 and 100 breaststroke.
